Despite the possibility that this is currently out of vogue in China, I don't feel any shame.

This statement is an exaggeration. I am not an arrogant person, but neither am I a modest gentleman. I have indeed influenced many young people.

In the 1980s, many people referred to me as a "mentor" or "spiritual leader". To be honest, I didn't feel much about these titles because I've heard a lot of praise since I was young, so hearing these didn't make me feel elated.

My treatment at work did not improve because of these titles. On the contrary, many people have been attacking me, and it continues to this day.

I've grown accustomed to this, though.
