- ↑ Chen Cheng was forced to resign by the Communist Party General Secretary Hu Jiwei and Liberal General Sun Liren due to the rebellion in the capital (Dulan)
- ↑ After the pan-left-liberal forces took control of the capital, they temporarily convened the Extraordinary National Assembly on August 1, 1963, announcing that an early presidential election would be held on October 1, 1964. At the same time, it was decided that the current Extraordinary National Assembly should be dissolved immediately and a new election should be held.
